Your 20s and 30s · Dream Wealth Co.
You're building something. Build it on purpose.
Most of the families I work with are in their 40s and 50s, and nearly all of them say the same thing: I wish I'd done this ten years earlier. If you're between 20 and 40, this page is for you. You don't need a big balance to start. You need a plan for the next few decisions.
The decisions that matter most right now
In your 20s and 30s the amounts feel small, but the decisions compound for decades. Where your next dollar goes. Which accounts you fill first. How you handle the first equity grant. Whether the house comes before the kids or after. None of them are hard on their own. They're hard because they all show up at once and each one changes the others.
What we work on
- The order of saving. Emergency fund, employer match, debt, retirement, everything else. Which one comes first for you, and why.
- Roth or traditional. Early-career income is often the lowest you'll see, which can make this choice matter more now than later.
- Equity pay. RSUs, options and ESPP. When to hold, when to sell, and what each choice does to your taxes.
- The big goals. A first home, a wedding, kids, a career change. What each one costs and what it does to everything else.
- The one-page plan. All of it on a single sheet, so you and your partner are working from the same page.
Why start now
The families I meet in their 50s aren't short on effort. They saved for years. What they're short on is flexibility: most of the money sits behind a 59½ door, and the moves that would have opened it only worked earlier. Starting in your 20s or 30s means you get to make those moves while they're still cheap.
How we work together
- Define your dream. What you actually want the next 20 years to look like.
- Reveal your reality. Income, savings, debt, benefits. Where you really are.
- Explore your options. The paths, with the trade-offs said out loud.
- Align your strategy. The next few moves, in order.
- Maintain momentum. We check in as life changes, because it will.
Common questions
- Do I have enough money to work with an advisor?
- I don't have minimums. If you're earning, saving and making decisions you'd like a second set of eyes on, that's enough.
- Do we have to be in Arizona?
- No. I'm in Scottsdale and I work virtually with people across all 50 states.
- What does it cost?
- I'll walk you through it in writing on the first call.
- Is this the same as the free tax strategy review?
- No. The tax strategy review is built for people a little further along. For your stage, a call or the newsletter is the better place to start.
- Who are you registered with?
- Titleist Asset Management, LLC. Disclosures are at the bottom of this page.
